We worked on a few songs ahead of time in Philly but most of the album was recorded in an AirBnB on top of a mountain in rural Tennessee where it was a good thirty minutes to get down and into town. We basically had three weeks to write and record the whole thing, and we did! Henry Stoehr (who engineered and mixed it) and I had toured together before so it was a fun reunion, and the two of us stayed on top of the mountain until it was finished. Making an album in that cabin fever style can be tough but we were fortunate enough to have a great crew and incredible views. Each song has a really distinct memory attached for me now that I can get back to just by listening.
